It's in the high 5's. Anyone doing 6+ probably isn't launching well enough and probably using shit tires/tire pressure.
Traction Control will rob times as well.
Anyone doing a 0-60 with traction control on is a certified noob.
I'd be surprised if many people were actually fully turning it off.
6.4 is NOT correct. I’ve gotten in the 5s with my manual and C&D got 5.1 with a manual in a comparison review IIRC.
Thanks. 6.4 was what Edmunds reported for the manual and 5.4 for the DCT.
It seemed a bit slow to me.
Really wish it came with thst engine mount from factory... I haven't even bothered doing a launch yet since there's so much wheel hop.
Car and Driver 60 it in 5.1 seconds in the Elantra. They got 5.8 in the GLI on summer tires and 6.1 on shitty all seasons. The Elantra N should be half a second faster than the GLI in equivalent conditions.
I've gotten 4.9 on the dash. That was before my dragy. Best I've gotten with my draggy was 5.2 and thays still spinning. Have to test it with my new all seasons that hook up better than the stock tires did.
You claim your all seasons hook up better then the PS4S??? Do you live in north Canada??
Pennsylvania. They're bfg pro comp 2 a/s. They're a soft compound high performance all season. When cold, I can launch and actually use 1st gear(it does spin still), but 2nd gear squeaks and takes the fuck off. I havnt tested them when fully warmed up with launching but when warm I can drop the clutch at 4k while rolling in 2nd gear and it just takes off. I will definitely try to update this comment section or post up dragy videos when I have a chance to test them out warm.
That’s crazy. Looking forward to the clips!
Lol yes it's a manual. Woukd you like a picture of the shifter and of the times? Lol if you short shift it from 1st to second gear it hooks up better and rips. It's not worth riding it out spinning to redline in 1st gear
DCT it’s the same thing, if you put it into manual mode and upshift from 1st to 2nd around 3k you can get just the right amount of traction just before it slips. That’s what I’ve at least noticed in my car and then if you hit the NGS right as you shift you’ll go fyibg
Fun fact tho obv it’s on a prepped surface or some marketing thing but on Hyundais website for the EN you see it launching at 5k rpm’s I don’t think anyone here’s done 5k yet but in the video it doesn’t slip. It’ll prolly wheel hop like insane on a regular road tho ofc but it’s interesting to see it can launch at 5k no prob at least in the video
4.9 is crazy. I still haven't even tried launching my car. I just got the lower engine mount bushings from Powerflex to combat the wheel hop. When I get that installed I might try a 0-60.
It was literally the perfect launch and shift. I havnt been able to recreate it. Best I've gotten after that is 5.2-5.4 but still have to test out these new tires
How do you see it on the dash?
The infotainment screen has a 0-60 timer and track timer
